At Move Forward, we provide no-cost, low-barrier mental health services for young people navigating life’s hardest moments. Whether it's depression, anxiety, grief, family conflict, or trauma, our licensed and master’s level therapists meet youth where they are—literally and emotionally. We work with youth in middle and high schools (grades 6–12), as well as young adults ages 18–24 who are experiencing homelessness or living with disabilities.
"I'm just so grateful for this opportunity to start therapy with Move Forward. My therapist was absolutely amazing and I'm hoping that I can continue meeting with Move Forward in the future."
"I would’ve never thought I’d do something like therapy but I’m glad I did because it slowly helped me become a better version of myself."
"I've learned how to cope with my mental health issues thanks to Move Forward. If something goes wrong or I'm not doing okay, I know what to do now."
Our therapists provide one-on-one support directly in schools, helping students manage stress, process trauma, and build resilience—without missing class or worrying about transportation.
We create safe spaces for students to explore shared experiences and learn coping skills through guided group therapy sessions. Groups may focus on grief, identity, self-esteem, emotional regulation, or anxiety.
For youth who prefer support outside of school, we offer therapy in accessible, youth-friendly locations like coffee shops, libraries, telehealth, or our office—where they already feel comfortable.
Young adults facing homelessness or living with disabilities often fall through the cracks. We fill those gaps with trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate therapy that meets their unique needs.
When schools face a crisis—like the loss of a student, a violent incident, or a major threat—our team responds quickly with emotional support, crisis counseling, and trauma debriefing for both students and staff.
Mental health is just one piece of the puzzle. We help youth and families connect to additional services like psychiatric and medical care, chemical health treatment, and case management to support long-term healing.
Youth today are facing unprecedented mental health challenges. From anxiety and depression to trauma and substance use, young people need more than just awareness—they need real support. That’s what we provide at Move Forward: caring, skilled professionals who see the whole person and help them build a path forward.
We know that stigma, language barriers, and cost often stop youth from getting help. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to remove every one of those barriers—so no young person is left behind.
